Lawyer Hassan Kashli Appointed President of the Prisoners and Families Care Committee

Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdellatif Deryan, has issued a decree establishing the Committee for the Care of Prisoners and Their Families at Dar al-Fatwa.

The committee consists of the following members:

  • Lawyer Hassan Afif Kashli: President

  • Engineer Nawar Malih Iddo: Vice President

  • Sheikh Walid Abdullah Zahra: Secretary

  • Sheikh Tariq Misbah al-Fil: Public Relations Secretary

  • Members: Lawyer Maha Mounir Fatha, Lawyer Marwan Abdul Rahman Nasruddin, Ms. Nada Shafiq Makkawi, Ms. Rania Khader al-Arab, Mr. Mohammad Hassan Diab, and Mr. Mustafa Khalaf Nasra.

Mission and Goals The committee’s mission is to support prisoners and their families by providing religious, educational, health, and social care. It aims to rehabilitate prisoners and assist their families financially, ensuring their children receive an education and proper healthcare. In collaboration with philanthropists, the Lebanese Zakat Fund, relevant official authorities, and similar civil society organizations, the committee strives to help these individuals become productive members of society.
